So I haven’t written for a while.  I got basically a full time job last July and have been juggling that plus Palo Alto and Los Altos plus JW plus properties (thank goodness Bob has been helping there).

Colleen got married on May 15.  Was a fantastic wedding/reception.  We recommend The Mountain Terrace for an outdoor wedding any time (but wait, you need to do it before the motorcycle clubs hit Alice’s for lunch – varoom varoom – that would not be good during the ceremony).

I’m going to find my arm band to start counting steps again – I absolutely know I was over 10,000 today for sure.

Hangover II – VERY RAUNCHY – funny.   I don’t ever have to see it again – even free.

Bridesmaids – chick flick – funny.  I would not see twice.

I have quite a ways to go to fit into that dress however I’m up for the challenge, feeling great re 10 lbs, sun is shining, everything is blooming around me and I have buckets of fantastic clothes to wear as I lose the weight.  I’m going to redo my vision board this weekend, cut out some photos, etc etc.  I’m on a 213 day goal program starting today July 2, 2010 and ending on February 1, 2011.

Thousands I’m sure. We all have a concept of the romance that WE would like to be a part of. The Pretty Woman fantasy as she held herself up high in the end and demanded the ultimate of her man. And then there’s The Ugly Truth – are men REALLY that way? Accordingly to some close confidential sources – YES THEY ARE. So where is romance there? Where’s the attachment? How does it survive and blossom into something more than “the honeymoon” phase? OMG ~ THE EXPECTATIONS WE ALL HAVE. Flowers, candy, sexy lingerie, perfume, kisses, dinner, candles/light, trips, fur coats, diamond rings/necklaces, cars – you name it and we have all thought of it. The giver and the receiver – both ways, one way.

A love affair – two sided, one sided, blind-sided, a love-hate. Can two people ever even feel exactly the same? Of course not – these are two people coming from two different places, two different backgrounds, two different experiences. It’s absolutely amazing when you see people who have lived together 50+ years and still smile, hold hands, laugh. What type of love affair did they have in the beginning that has seemingly never ended? Ws their love affair built on respect, affection, mutual ideas – what a list this could be? And yet, there they are 50+ years later. Did sheer tenacity hold them together through the ups and downs of every day life?
