Romance-A love affair, Ardent emotional attachment or involvement between people, Love

What is romance? This is a tough question. And, how many answers could be listed here? Thousands I’m sure. We all have a concept of the romance that WE would like to be a part of. The Pretty Woman fantasy as she held herself up high in the end and demanded the ultimate of her man. And then there’s The Ugly Truth – are men REALLY that way? Accordingly to some close confidential sources – YES THEY ARE. So where is romance there? Where’s the attachment? How does it survive and blossom into something more than “the honeymoon” phase? OMG ~ THE EXPECTATIONS WE ALL HAVE. Flowers, candy, sexy lingerie, perfume, kisses, dinner, candles/light, trips, fur coats, diamond rings/necklaces, cars – you name it and we have all thought of it. The giver and the receiver – both ways, one way.

A love affair – two sided, one sided, blind-sided, a love-hate. Can two people ever even feel exactly the same? Of course not – these are two people coming from two different places, two different backgrounds, two different experiences. It’s absolutely amazing when you see people who have lived together 50+ years and still smile, hold hands, laugh. What type of love affair did they have in the beginning that has seemingly never ended? Ws their love affair built on respect, affection, mutual ideas – what a list this could be? And yet, there they are 50+ years later. Did sheer tenacity hold them together through the ups and downs of every day life?

GOAL#1 – Relationship

TO continue to have an amazing over-the-top relationship with the wonderful man in my life so that each and every day teaches us more about each other, sharing of common goals, sharing of friends and family, sharing unconditionally between us so that the relationship moves forward on a positive, loving, joyful, happy, endless journey.

Jan 3 Lexington Dam walk & Relationship

Walked to the bottom of the Dam hill – hip still hurts a lot – really cold – 39 degrees at 7:30 – brrrrrrrrrrr. So much for 55 the day before (they told me a fib to get me out walking today…not really).

I hit the motrin bottle a lot today.

Talked w/Lynne about her joining me for dance classes – just have to fit with her already busy schedule. Talked w/Tracey re getting her books – she has had a fabulous year in Napa – fantastic for her.

I LOVE YOU!!

Jan 2 – another day of reflection and a short walk

Ouch – what did I pull in my right hip area – not sure if it was the hike or the boxes I carried…hmmmmm.

More closet cleaning, more run around errands, saw Young Victoria with Melody & Colleen & Bernadette – great movie, great acting. What a story – history is fascinating! Wonder how true the movie is to the real events.

Short walk in downtown Saratoga although did walk up Sixth Street hill – a mile from start to finish (I drove it to get actual length)…

Crazy day – have my new (used) frig for my garage now so I can have some space for my food…

Xmas boxes in garage, train table in garage so I can put the treadmill in family room.
