Wednesday – another 4 mile walk

Cool morning – uploaded Allison Armstrong’s CD program to iPod and listened to her during my walk – laughed, smiled, and had several AH HA moments while listening…can’t wait to see her in January in SF!

Alison Armstrong / Lisa Garr The Aware Show

What a fabulous teleconference they just had today at 12 noon.

Dec 1 – an auspicious day to be sure

Back on track – literally. Walked 4 miles this am. Took me a few more minutes than last time..will be at a 20 minute mile by Friday morning.
December – the sparkle of lights, the great songs that one hears all around us in the stores..everywhere, tv showing xmas shows every night. The meaning of it all…isn’t it just time to say “thank you” for all that we have in this fantastic country, state, county, city that we live in and share with others. Share it wisely. Show and practice gratitude every day. Love today like there is no tomorrow. Dance to show your passion. Sing so that everyone can hear the joy.

Where is Sue?

All work and no play make a dull girl!!!!

Sunday walk – completed 3+ miles

YEAH YEAH YEAH!!!!  Will put my bodybug back on now to start logging my food journal and steps again.

Now to do some serious work catchup…..frustrating since my HP 4000 printer doesn’t seem to want to print at all anymore.  It’s 11 yrs old so perhaps it has given up.    My only thing left is to reinstall it and I’m always a bit nervous when I do things like that because of my network.

Flaming ice cream – watch for another video

Sam and I did two more experiments with the lemon extract/vanilla ice cream combination.  The video should be posted within the next couple of days.  Hope you enjoy.

Noah – my 15 year old standard poodle

Yes, he’s 15 1/2.  I adopted him at 2 yrs old and he is a wonderful, calm, no barking, non-jumping dog.   Now he’s got cataracts so he just sees shadows, his hips are failing him.  It is so sad to see a long time pal/pet go into decline.    The last standard we had lived to 10 and developed cancer and it spread quickly.  I could not go to the vet so my girls and my ex went.  We then started looking for another dog to fill it’s place and we found Noah who fit in so well the very first day.  My girls have asked if I will get another dog or possibly a cat.   I really want to be able to travel and even though my roomates watch Noah for me when I’ve been gone, he’s very sad, so I don’t want to do that with another pet.

A 30 day challenge from my friend, Susan

Of course I said YES I will join you doing 1 hr of exercise each day for 30 days.  Why not?  What better way to keep the momentum going to have a buddy to prod and they prod you.

Friday – about 30 minutes.  Guess I should add that I walked Wed & Thurs nights for almost an hour each night too.  Did the Sixth St. hill both nights.

Today – about 30 minutes.

OK OK I got to get this body on the move again…time is moving on and I totally deserve a fabulous new outside me.

A reflective day from the high of the past week

Kind of like the day after a prom, a week or so after the reality of having a baby sets in, back from a special vacation – LIFE HAPPENS.

Days like this do happen…time to get back to reality, back to walking, back to paperwork that doesn’t end, back to the day in and day out STUFF!

My favorite quote is:  “Life is either a Daring Adventure or nothing”  by Helen Keller……and I’ve made it my choice  to make it a daring adventure.  You can too – it’s your choice.

Sam – an incredible man in my life!!!

…I’ve very thankful.
