Friday In Fresno/Clovis, CA

Had a great time w/grandsons taking them to and from school. Daughter’s grad was terrific. Congrats Lisa on making Dean’s List! YOU CAN ALWAYS DO IT!

No steps/deficit – did not wear band…..

Dancing through life is fantastic! Being grateful for all in my life before that it has made it what my life is today, grateful for all those in my life now….just being in the present is incredible! I love the joy that surrounds me…….joy can be in your life too – just accept it and embrace it.

Thursday – walking break this morning

I did 19,000+ steps yesterday…..bottom of my feet hurt this morning….and I have practically brand new shoes. Off to my daughter’s house in Clovis today/tonight for her graduation tomorrow at 5 pm. I’ll walk w/her tonight after I get there – lots of street lights there compared to Saratoga. She has miles of sidewalk around her house to walk plus I’ll walk the boys to school tomorrow morning. And, walk to bring them home in afternoon. Then drive back home tomorrow night.

Finished my 4 mile walk – needing to bump up my calories – very low energy last night and this morning…… http://www.insidesue.com

OK OK – 2 days with under 900 calories consumed each day does NOT help me. Also, if you are checking my step page you can see that even doing a 4 mile walk plus a short one at night does not bring me close to the 2500 burn that I need each day to go down 3 lbs this week. I never figured this out exactly like this before…you always hear – eat less, exercise more. However, in doing the NUMBERS one can actually see why a person (me or you) levels out for a few days until they actually burn the next 3500……. (I have realized this because I’m using my BodyBug (24 hr fitness) and uploading steps/food diary each day.)

Monday night – caged tiger

After I got home from work Monday afternoon I felt like a caged tiger….frustrated because I didn’t go for my morning walk and WANTING to go on one even though weather was still hot. So I said screw it at 6:15 and went anyway. Walked the flat part of the Village and got to the end and looked at the Sixth Street climb. OK I’m going up that sucker and NOT STOPPING this time. And, you know, I did. I was huffing and puffing the last 30 feet however I DID IT! Yeah – it’s about 1/4 of heart attack hill so that’s very good news. Came down Oak, met up with “P” and did another loop a different direction.

Hey, did I mention another video is on it’s way into this site? Who knows when it might pop up!!!! Keep watching.

Sunday – the countdown and the “ole” pole

Thank you all for your facebook responses to my blog/journey. Very appreciated.

“ole” pole – years ago and I mean “years ago” when I went to the gym in my mid-20s, one of the best exercises for a smaller waist (or even just a waist), was to hoist the silver colored plated pole, sit on the edge of a workout bench, feet apart and twist left to right without moving your hips. I think those are oblique muscles? So, since my dad was my super hero, “please dad can you make me a pole” and of course he fixed one right up for me. I have this pole still and I got it down from the rafters yesterday, sat on the edge of the coffee table and did those side twists – where’s the camera when you need it or rather where’s a person to take a photo of you when you need it????? Guess I should drag out the tripod and figure out how to set up a timed photo. Gee, why do I have to know how to do almost everything?

Countdown – I leave for Principia two weeks from today. So I weighed myself today. Gave away another pound. My two week goal is to give away 6 pounds (that’s 21,000 calories) by the weighin 6 am Oct. 4. So that would mean I have to burn whatever I eat for the day PLUS 1500 each day. Since I’m eating approx. 1,000 calories per day plus the 1,500 – I need to burn a minimum of 2,500 – and that’s the MINIMUM. Of course that does not take into consideration fluid retention, and blah blah blah stuff.

So, there the goal has been put out there for all of you to follow along with me.

Did I mention that my hips are a little smaller (the pants are slightly loose) and the waist area is a little smaller too – YEAH!!!!!!!

Saturday – Yes, I am blogging each and every day

Knees are hurting a little this am SO walked downtown Los Gatos and part of the flat part of Los Gatos Trail. People usually say “listen” to your body – why do they say “listen”? I believe it’s more like paying attention to the “feeling”. So that’s what I did today. I have to admit I’m a little frustrated as that hike to the top of the spillway was right there and I again wanted to conquer it. Hmmmmmmm –

Eating – I’m being very much on track. My personal focus and everyone’s positive energy on this is really helping. ALTHOUGH I did have a few stray thoughts about a hersey bar with almonds today.

GRAPE picking – well, a surprise today indeed. ….more to follow as I have to do a little research about how to upload something.

THAT SCALE – rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

It has not shown a different number in 3 days – come on body – give it up.

Off for a 4 mile walk to the Village shortly.
11:15 – over 10,000 steps already today….just a tad bit warm today.
